programs, such as the very excellent Web Store by Extropia, to off-the-shelf
software shop cart products such as Actinic Catalog and
Shop Factory. Our experience with these programs means that we can
very easily support you in both developing and publishing your own on-line
shop. This support comes included with our
hosting package, so you really can't get a better ISP if you are hosting an
on-line shop.
E-Commerce
Fully enabled e-commerce solutions are hosted for
only £25 / €40 per month and this includes support for your shopping
system, SSL secure server
and PGP encryption.
In some cases our clients prefer to do their own web design, or they have their design already complete. In these cases we can integrate one of our shopping systems into your existing design, without changing the page layout, or the look and feel of the overall site.
The responsibility for the security of an on-line shopping facility is often
split between the developers and the hosting company. Thus there are "gray
areas" of responsibility in terms of the overall security. However, as
Web Age are both an ISP with our own hosting facilities and the developers
of the system, no such "gray areas" exist.
We can integrate our systems with online credit card verifiers such as
WorldPay. However, we can also securely deliver to you encrypted Credit
Card details which you can then verify as normal yourself. This means that
you do not require to pay the heavy extra bank charges on every web transaction
you make.
